We have drafted a cost-effectiveness analysis of India's Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), which aims to provide safe drinking water through household tap connections to all rural households. The analysis accounts for financial costs, health benefits (mortality reduction and musculoskeletal disorders), and economic benefits (women's time savings and children's education).
